Hi y’all!
I am a few days late on this wrap up post. And it’s a bit of a miracle that I even remembered we’ve started a new month. Where did July go?? It was a crazy month for us. So it’s a small miracle I read anything! August is shaping up to be just as crazy. So I’m trying to keep my goals a bit more reasonable.
Here’s what happened in July.
I finished 4 books.
I published 3 reviews.
Joyful Noise: Poems for Two Voices by Paul Fleischman
The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I shared 2 book lists and launched my book lists page!
8 Books to read if you love The Chronicles of Narnia
8 Favorite (and clean) Romance Authors
July Goals!
This month, I’m trying to keep my goals in check. Although, the month has started well with 2 finished books and a book list already shared!
I finished these 2 books already.
I hope to finally finish this reread!
And I would like to start my next classic and Newbery winner.
Then I always have several books I want to read just for fun. INCLUDING AN EARC OF THE NEW DRAGONWATCH BOOK!!!!!! Crazy excited about that!
Then a few posting goals:
- Post 3 reviews
- Post 2 book lists
What are you reading in August?
July was crazy busy for us too… and now school is about to start again lol
In August, I am participating in ARC August, and am only reading backlist NetGalley books 🙂
Happy reading in the rest of August!

How lovely! My mom just recommended the Mitford books to me. And I just bought Wives and Daughters a few days ago. I’ve never read it but I aspire to read more Gaskell! 🙂

Ohh you’re reading Mansfield Park! It’s one of my favourites, if not as enjoyable as other books by Jane Austen, I think it’s the most fascinating one for a discussion! 😅😊

I’m so glad to hear that! I have only read it once. So I’m excited 🙂

Great goals! I hope you achieve them! I’m just kind of letting my mood decide what I’ll read in August (lately I haven’t been reading at all 🙈)

Thank you, Destiny! And haha, I totally know how that goes. sometimes we just need a bit of time off from reading before we can get excited again. Hope your moods take to you to great books this month 🙂

Ooooh, I really enjoyed Mansfield Park, although I understand it’s not for everyone.
I finished The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict in July and I should really continue the Mysterious Benedict Society books soon (:

Still reading that musical theatre history book. Afterwards, going back to the classics- planning for Illiad and Odyssey.

I haven’t read The Odyssey since high school–and only pieces of the Illiad. Enjoy!

I have read both the Illiad and the Odyssey in high school-I don’t think it was the entire thing though. I now own the entire works of both.

I hope you enjoy the reread! I find I often enjoy those high school reads more in my rereading 🙂

It ie easier to love a story when it is not required. I lot of it comes from the fact that you are reading for fun- not so much for school
