Top 10 Tuesday: Books with Me on a Deserted Island

Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! It’s been a bit since I shared a Top 10 list. And I thought this week’s prompt was the perfect one to return on: Books I’d Want With Me While Stranded On a Deserted Island. This is right up my alley as if I was really stranded on a deserted island, books would be the main thing I would want with me. Haha! Enjoy!

The real miracle here is that I managed to stop at 10 books! I could have gone on much longer than that. 🙂 And may I add that I would also like to have the scriptures with me. I think those are in their own category so I didn’t include them in my list above.

What books would you want with you on a deserted island?

  2. What interesting choices! If stranded on a desert island I think I’d want a big poetry anthology, although it’s hit or miss with those which ones speak to me … maybe I could request one that magically includes all the poems I don’t know yet but that are going to sustain my soul in the desert.

  3. You have a nice mix of selections here, from children’s books to poetry to Crime and Punishment. The Read-Aloud Family looks interesting, I’ll have to check that out. I’ve had a lot of conversations with my in-laws about how to encourage reading without turning kids off it.
