Top 10 Tuesday: Favorite Reads of 2020

Hi & Happy New Year to you!

I hope you had a wonderful, peaceful Christmas season and wish you a joyful 2021!

This is one of my favorite Top 10 Tuesday (hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) prompts when I get to look back at some of my favorite reads of 2020. What a crazy, unexpected year it has been! The books have been as fantastic as ever.

The biggest bookish highlight this year is I finished my first Classics Club list! Reading 50 classics in 5 years was a highlight of my blogging experience thus far. Perhaps in 2021 I will start my next list. Naturally, a list of only 10 favorites was impossible πŸ™‚Β

Hope you enjoy my list and have a fantastic 2021!

What were your favorite reads in 2020?

  1. Hallo, Hallo Jane,

Ooh my – I’d have loved a small recap with the books to know what stood out in your mind about them – I’ll have to follow through your blog to see if you’ve blogged about all these lovelies as quite a few are on my own TBR. Esp “Hattie Big Sky”, “The VanderBeekers”, “Under Scottish Stars”, “The Remarkable Journey of Coytote Sunrise” and “The Tennant of Wildfell Hall”. I haven’t yet curated my own #yearendreads list but I’ll be working on it soon enough. This year I feel as though I muddled through most months but there were some gems despite the angsts of the hours in which I greeted them. Some I know will never quite leave me as their presence and memory are still alive in my heart.

Glad you’ve found 10x stories you can look back fondly on this New Year’s!!

    1. Thank you so much for your comment, Jorie! I have blogged about several of those. And I have mini reviews on Goodreads that I use to write my full reviews.

I’m glad to hear you found some gems in 2020. I think especially in a year that was defined by so much uncertainty, anger, fear, and loneliness—it’s wonderful to know that there were books that touched our hearts and have become part of our identities.

      Happy reading in 2021!
