Top 10 Tuesday: Unfinished Series

Hi everyone and welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!

This week’s theme is a fun one: Series I’ve Given Up On/Don’t Plan to Finish (Submitted by A Book and a Cup). (Feel free to switch this to Series I’d Like to Finish Someday) I decided to split this in half.

  • First, 5 series that I want to finish.
  • Second, 5 series that I’ve abandoned.

Enjoy!

Series I Plan to Finish:

The Penderwicks Series by Jeanne Birdsall
The Mother Daughter Book Club Series by Heather Vogel Frederick
MacDonald Family Trilogy by Carla Laureano
The Time Quartet by Madeleine L’Engle
The Shoe Books Noel Streatfeild

Series I have Abandoned for Now:

Anna and the French Kiss Series by Stephanie Perkins
Matched Series by Ally Condie
The Land of Stories Series by Chris Colfer
Waverley Family Series by Sarah Addison Allen
The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner

What series are you still working on?
And which have you decided not to finish?

  1. Ah yes, I recall your review of Anna and the French Kiss; I’m not surprised to see you’re abandoning it. There are quite a few series I have given up on- none are ones you’ve selected! I love how diverse our reading tastes are. You always give me something new to consider.

  2. I always thought the Penderwick’s looked like a fun series. And Maze Runner- I don’t know if I’m ever going to tackle those, I’ve seen the first two movies but I don’t know…

  3. Land of Stories is the most recent series I have been working on. Been working on it for more than one year. Love this children’s fantasy series. Last week got the last book. ‘

Funny thing, the book I am writing is a children’s fantasy. My book focuses on Fairy Frogs and Toads.

    1. I actually have just read the first one. I felt like it was a bit too convenient. She just happens to see the face of someone else who shes never really thought about seriously before and she just happens to fall in love with him. It was too easy for me.

That’s too bad the rest of the series wasn’t as good for you! I hate when that happens!
