Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s theme is underrated gems you’ve read in the past year.

I realized I have been reading a lot of great historical fiction the past year or so that is totally underrated. These are some of my favorite recent reads too. You can see my reviews of all of these on my reviews page. Enjoy!

With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden

The Butterfly and the Violin by Kristy Cambron

A Sparrow in Terezin by Kristy Cambron

The Forgotten Sisters (Princess Academy #3) by Shannon Hale

Well, Lynn Austin’s books are absolutely amazing! I don’t know how popular her books are, but her novels A Proper Pursuit, Wonderland Creek, and Return to Me were all so intriguing and wonderfully written. ❤ I don’t think they get enough praise!

      1. I really enjoyed her other two, Lizzy and Jane and The Bronte Plot, but I thought nothing could top Dear Mr. Knightley. Then I read A Portrait of Emily Price and loved it even more. I actually gave a couple copies to friends for Christmas.

I love anything Jane Austen so I’m totally down for it. And the Holocaust was the area of history I studied so I’m interested in picking up the other book as well.
