Hi everyone, and welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week is all about books we didn’t read in 2016 that we hope to read in 2017. I had 5 that I missed at the end of 2016 so I added 5 Classics I want to read as well. Enjoy!
Books I missed at the end of 2016:
With my pregnancy nausea at the end of 2016, I missed out on several books I was really excited to read (most of which I even had from the library at one point!). Hoping to read these in the new year!
The Girl Who Wrote in Silk by Kelli Estes
An Ember from the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier
The Enchantress Returns by Chris Colfer
My Name is Resolute by Nancy E. Turner
Classics I want to read this year:
Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens
Evelina by Fanny Burney
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
Pollyanna by Eleanor H. Porter
Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White
What are you reading this year?
This is a little random, but I see you enjoy Austen and have S&S on your TBR list… I’m hosting “I Love Austen Week” next month and thought you might be interested. If you are, info is here on my blog.

Cool! That sounds fun. I will definitely check it out! I need a deadline to get me going on that one 🙂

So glad you are feeling better! An Ember in the Ashes (and its sequel) are sitting on my shelves right now begging to be read. I hope to get to them this year as well.

My sister loved both of them–says they’re some of her favorites of all time. Definitely hoping to get to them this year 🙂

I love the cover of The Girl Who Wrote in Silk and it sounds good too. Seeing Pollyanna makes me nostalgic, it was one of my favourite books as a child. Happy reading. My TTT

I think the same thing about that cover! I hear good things about it too. I remember watching Pollyanna as a child but I’ve never read it! Excited to do that this year 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Sue!
