Top 10 Tuesday: Most Recent Reads

Hi y’all!

I’m back with a new post as part of Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s prompt is your most recent reads. I have been reading a lot this year (big 100 book goal for 2021!) so this was fun to look back on. Enjoy!

The Ickabog by J. K. Rowling // I loved this fairy tale that explores the myth of a monster and how truth can be twisted. A bit dark but also fascinating.

Jane was Here by Nicole Jacobsen & Devynn Dayton // A darling travel log celebrating the best places to see and experience in England with connections to Jane Austen. Loved the illustrations too!

Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass // I love everything I read by Wendy Mass. Jeremy is about to turn 13 when he receives a mysterious box but no keys from his dead father that contains the meaning of life.

Look Both Ways by Jason Reynolds // We read this for book club. It was my first Reynolds book. I loved the different stories of kids walking home from middle school and the vivid descriptions of their lives and relationships.

Isabelle and Alexander by Rebecca Anderson // My most recent ARC read, I loved this story that reminded me so much of North and South. Isabelle and Alexander must overcome an arranged marriage and a terrible accident to find love and happiness.

The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner // A nostalgic read from my childhood that I read in about an hour. Four children build a life for themselves in a boxcar to avoid living with a grandfather they’ve never met.

The Penderwicks books 2-5 by Jeanne Birdsall // One of my favorite series! I reread the full series this year and loved getting back into the world of the Penderwick siblings and their adventures.

What have you been reading lately?
