Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!
It’s been a while but I’m excited to participate this week (only a day late too!) This week’s topic is books I’ve read because someone recommended them.
I stuck with books I’ve read in the last year or so. Thanks for the recommendations, friends! Enjoy!

What are some of your favorite books
that have been recommended to you lately?
My most recommendation was Mayor of Casterbridge (by my dad)- he compared Thomas Hardy to Dickens and in addition, he did say something like “doesn’t the main character remind you are someone”- soon enough, realized that Henchard is sort of like Jean Valjean

That’s awesome! I’m especially intrigued by a Jean Valjean comparison

Part of the books I did love and read were recommendations from my dad and some from Park Road Books.
Here they are:
1. Two of Two Cities
2. Don Quixote
3. Great Expectations
4. Mayor of Casterbridge_which I am in the middle of
5. A Darker Shade of Magic
6. The Golden Compass

Don’t know why I loved Tale of Two Cities.
So far, a Dickens’ book hasn’t left me disappointed
