Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s prompt is Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019.
I must admit that coming up with 10 was a bit daunting. But I did find several new releases that I’m excited about! Hope you enjoy this list!
The Booklace Magician by Cassie Beasley // More Circus Mirandus!! I only discovered that Cassie Beasley was working on another book set in the Circus Mirandus world this week. I seriously can’t wait!
Master of the Phantom Isle by Brandon Mull // Everything I’ve read by Brandon Mull is fantastic. This is book three in his Dragonwatch series set in the Fablehaven universe. And so far, he keeps surprising me in the craziest ways. Can’t wait!
The Spice King by Elizabeth Camden // I love everything I read by Elizabeth. This is the first book in a new series she has coming out this fall. I look forward to being transported to a new historical time in her latest novel.
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern // I think like everyone else in the bookish world, I was so excited when I heard Erin was writing another novel. I’ve read the summary a few times and I still feel like I don’t understand what is going to happen in this book.
The Vanderbeekers to the Rescue by Karina Yan Glaser // I loved books one and two when I read them earlier this year. I’m sure this one will be a fantastic addition to this fun middle grade series, especially for fans of The Penderwicks.
The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Riddle of Ages by Trenton Lee Stewart // Okay, admittedly I have only read book one of this series. And this is going to be book four. But I do plan to read the others and I’m sure this one will be as clever and complex a ride as the first one.
Which new releases are you most excited about in 2019?
I didn’t know there was a new Benedict Society book coming out – thanks for that! I love those books.

You’re so welcome! I am behind on the Benedict Society party–I’ve only read book 1 so far! Definitely planning to finish 2&3 before this release though!

Oh cool, a new Mysterious Benedict Society book! I read 1 – 3 with my son when he was younger. He’s definitely not in the right age range any longer, but I’d be interested in seeing where the story goes!

That’s so fun! I read Benedict after hearing a recommendation from The Read Aloud Revival–I would love to read them with my kids when they’re older. I luckily have time to read 2&3 before this fall 🙂

I am SO READY for the fourth Mysterious Benedict Society book! I’ve been wondering what Trenton Lee Stewart’s been up to. Apparently writing the book of my dreams!

I am late getting to the Benedict Society party—and I loved book one! Luckily I have a few months to read all the other books in this series before the release! 🙂 Hope you enjoy it too!

Are you late? Maybe you actually have perfect timing! You can read them right up to the new release!

Haha! That is a good point! Usually I have to wait years for the next book in the series. This way I won’t have that long waiting period. Thanks!

The Mysterious Benedict Society has been on my list for far too long maybe it’s time finally get caught up in time for the new release. The Starless Sea sounds like it should be an interesting read for sure can’t even imagine the anxiety Erin must have had after such crazy success with The Night Circus.

Benedict is so clever!! I actually didn’t know it was the first book in a series until I finished it–now I need to read books 2 & 3 before the fall 🙂
And amen to that! There must be so must pressure to writing something as incredible as NC. We all hold our breath with anticipation… 😉

When I worked at Barnes and Noble it was such a popular recommendation but I got so caught up in new reads that I haven’t made time for it but I definitely should

I haven’t heard of many of these, but they look so good! Dragonwatch in particular looks really good, and I’m going to have to check that out. I’m looking forward to reading The Starless Sea, too!
Here’s my TTT post.

Thanks, Sammie! Dragonwatch is such a fun series. I recommend Fablehaven too–a fantastic series that happens same universe but earlier than Dragonwatch.

I’m sure it is going to be epic–Morgenstern doesn’t write things half way, right?

I hadn’t heard of Circus Mirandus until I saw the cover for the sequel in your post (and then dove into goodreads). I can’t wait to get it from my library and start reading!

It’s one of my recent favorites! I didn’t read it until earlier this year and it blew me away! Hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think! 🙂
