  1. This looks like a great list for spring, Jane! I’m really curious about The Gown and have been meaning to read A Tale of Two Cities for years. Will this be your first time reading North and South? It’s one of my absolute favorites! If you haven’t seen it already, be sure to check out the BBC miniseries once you’ve finished the book. Happy spring reading!

    1. Thank you, Jessie! I’m about 2/3rds thru The Gown and really enjoying it and all it’s Britishness!

This will be my first time reading N&S and I only hear good things. I have actually seen the BBC miniseries (I usually don’t watch then read but oh well!) And I love it. I think this will be my next classic when I finish Grapes of Wrath.

      1. Glad to hear you’re enjoying The Gown so far, and that you’re a fan of the N&S miniseries. I actually watched it before I read the book too, and think that only made me love the latter even more. Since I was already familiar with the plot, I was able to really focus on and enjoy the writing. I hope it will be the same for you!

  2. The Gown is on my list too! North and South is excellent and A Tale of Two Cities started a little slow for me but boy do things get interesting.

I was planning to read The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Armin in April. I am trying to figure out which other books I’m going to read next month.

    1. I am about 2/3rd thru The Gown and really enjoying it–especially the Britishness of it all. I love the British Royals.

Glad to hear you loved N&S! I love the BBC adaptation so I’m excited to read it. I haven’t gotten through the first 50 pages of Two Cities before so I will push thru this time!

And I hope you enjoy your April reading!
