Happy Tuesday and welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s topic is Books I Meant to Read In 2018 but Didn’t Get To. This was a pretty easy list for me to put together. I often have a several books that sit at the top of my TBR for months and I never quite get to them. But I do plan to get to several of these this year. Enjoy!
What books did you miss in 2018?
Are you trying to catch them in 2019?
I remember reading ‘Crispin: the Cross of Lead’ when I was a kid and even though I unsurprisingly don’t remember the book that well I remember really liking it! I’ve never even heard of a few of these books but I love the cover art of ‘The Bark of the Barn Owl!’ 🙂

I’m glad to hear that! I still haven’t read it (although it’s made its way up my TBR now and again this year). Hoping it makes it to the top soon! 🙂 Yes The Bark of the Bog Owl has a neat cover–it’s a really fascinating series!

Off this list I’ve read The Underground Railroad and The Girl with the Pearl Earring. Both are fabulous and I think you’ll really enjoy them.
I am also wanting to read The Lost Castle. Fingers crossed we both get to it in 2019 🙂

I didn’t do TTT this week, but I could have named 100+ books for this topic! LOL. There are just so many books to read. I can’t keep up. Case in point: I’ve only read one, maybe two, of these. *Sigh* Good luck with them this year 🙂

Haha! Isn’t that the truth? It’s so easy to get excited about too many books and then not have the time to read them all. Thanks so much! Hope you have a great reading year as well!

I really liked Underground Railroad, it was a really thoughtful look at slavery in different parts of the U.S. I loved North and South and definitely want to read more from Gaskell.

I think Underground Railroad sounds fascinating. It just wasn’t the right time when I tried it last year. And I love the North and South BBC adaptation so I’m excited to finally read it! The only thing I’ve read by Gaskell is Cranford and I enjoyed it.

I have heard only good things! I am pretty sure I’ve read it years ago so I’m hoping to get to the reread in 2019!
