Hi y’all!
Can you believe today is the last day of 2018? This year has just flown by at our house. It’s gone so fast! I am really excited for 2019 and will be sharing some of my big reading goals later this week. And I am planning to look back on all of 2018 this week as well. The big news is that I broke my record for number of books read in a single year! Check back later this week to hear the official number!
Today, I am focusing simply on December 2018 and January 2019.
I finished 7 books in December.
I reviewed 4 books (super behind on reviews again….).
And I started these 2 books in rather different genres–
Hoping to start 2019 off great with some big goals for January!
I hope to review 6 books. Still deciding if I will do a few mini reviews to catch up faster. Either way, I need to get writing!
Planning to finish 2 books for The Classics Club! I need to have a big classics year to meet my goal to finish 50 classics by September 2020 (which is suddenly almost next year!).
I want to finish 2 Newbery Winners! Here are a few on top of my TBR.
In 2019, I’m doing a bit of a C. S. Lewis marathon. More details to follow soon, but for now, I will just share where I plan to read in January.
And, as usual, I few books I want to read just because as long as I get to the top of the wait list at the library! π
Happy New Year!
What are you reading in January?
I’ve been working my way through The Chronicles of Narnia over the past few months. I’ve read the first 4 books in publication order. I definitely want to finish the series this year π

That’s awesome! I decided to read them in publication order this time too! About halfway through The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe and loving it more than ever π

I’ve got a bunch of reviews scheduled for this month, so I’ll mostly be reading review books. I’ve just about finished THE GOWN by Jennifer Robson, which is an enjoyable historical about two embroiderers who are tasked with helping to make the wedding gown Princess Elizabeth will wear for her wedding in 1947. It’s a good book and surprisingly clean.
Good luck on your reading/reviewing goals! I wrote a whole bunch (like 24) of reviews in the last couple weeks just so I could get all my 2018 reads reviewed and move on to a new year of reading. It was exhausting!
Happy New Year!

Way to go on all the reviews!! That’s amazing! I seriously should do that–I feel like I’m still half a foot in 2018 with reviews piled up!
Okay, that sounds like a neat book! I love the British Royal family so I am going to check that one out. Glad you’re enjoying it.
Happy New Year to you too!
