Top 10 Tuesday: Bookish Christmas List 2018

Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl!

Today I am jumping ahead slightly to share my bookish Christmas list for this year! I am definitely a book nerd. I always have a list of books I want to buy. Thanks to my husband for humoring my book obsession and spoiling me at Christmas πŸ™‚ Not only do I request many books each year for Christmas, I also have a monthly book budget that I could easily spend in one sitting. Ha!

I hope you enjoy my bookish Christmas list for 2018.

Penguin Clothbound Classics: Dickens, Bronte, and Austen
The Vanderbeekers of 141st St & The Vanderbeekers
Anne of Green Gables books 1 & 2
Dragonwatch 2: Wrath of the Dragon King
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, illustrated edition
All that Makes Life Bright & Forever and Forever

Merry Christmas!
What’s on your bookish Christmas list this year?

    1. Haha! It is our way of pretending to keeping my book buying habits in check πŸ˜‰ I love collecting books! I own several copies of some books because they are just so pretty πŸ™‚

Haha! Lego sets are expensive. Some friends of ours just got the Millennium Falcon set…I couldn’t believe the price!

Thank you! Hope you had a lovely Christmas!

  1. Lovely wishlist Jane!

Off this list, I own the Bronte and Austen Penguin Clothbound Classics sets – I received them from Christmas myself in 2016 – and I own the illustrated edition of the 3rd Harry Potter book. I am eagerly awaiting the 4th as it is my favorite book in the series πŸ™‚

I hope you receive all of these books this Christmas!

Oooh, yet another beautiful Anne of Green Gables cover set, this series has SO many, and I want most of them!

I want those Penguin classics as well, I’ve received the Villette, I think that is the prettiest.

I’ve been gifting the HP illustrated additions, one for a birthday, one will be for Christmas (both the first books). For myself I think I might have to buy the fourth book first; that’s my favorite. I thought it came out this year.

    1. Right? It’s so hard to pick just one Anne set. I love these! I own a few of the later ones so I want to finish my set with the beginning novels.

Yes, I think it could take a lifetime to get all the penguin classics. They are so beautiful!

And I love the HP illustrated. I own the first two (Christmas and birthday last year). Super excited for book 3 which is one of my favs in the series πŸ™‚

I am a bookworm, but have eight books to read. I remember being interested in four books I saw at a bookstore yesterday, but don’t remember.

The only books I have not read that still to be read in my house are classic. I want to own more books in another genre I love. Those four books I was interested in were in fantasy- just don’t the names.

  4. What a beautiful list of books! I love your bookish aesthetic. Sometimes, I feel like I need to hunt for the *just right* cover for my own bookshelves. XD I have all the Harry Potter illustrated editions on my list, as well as a hardcover copy of Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus.

    Merry Christmas, Jane!

    1. Thank you! I love those editions of Anne of Green Gables–they only have 6 books out because of copyright. But the ones missing are Windy Poplars and Ingleside–which were my least favorite in our read along. So I’m okay with it.

I have the first two illustrated HP editions and love them so much! Can’t wait to read HP to my kids from them. And ohhh I love The Night Circus.

Merry Christmas to you too, my friend! πŸ™‚
