Happy February, y’all!
Can you believe we’re already one month into 2021?! This month flew by. We have a lot of fun coming up at our house in February: a couple of birthdays, Valentine’s Day, the 100th day of school, and hopefully more snow!
It has been a while since I wrote a wrap up and TBR post. But with the new year, I thought I’d return to these. It’s fun to look back on the month and see how my reading and blogging went. Usually motivates me to keep going strong!
This year started with a bang! I officially made a goal to read 100 books and I’m well on my way so far.
I finished 10 books in January! I’ve already discovered that reading series helps push my number. And my goal of 3 Newbery winners is attainable so far! Enjoyed the 3 I read this month!

I published 5 reviews.
My Father’s Dragon & Three Tales of My Father’s Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett
The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart
What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon
Georgana’s Secret by Arlem Hawks (ARC Blog Tour Review)
Dragonwatch: Champion of the Titan Games by Brandon Mull (Dragonwatch #4)

I did not post any book lists in January. So I will try for a couple next month!
February should be another fun reading month!
I plan to read 3 Newbery winners. Here’s some of the top contenders.

I plan to finish these two that I am currently reading.

When we finish Tumtum and Nutmeg, I will start another read aloud with my kids. Here are a few that we might read next.

And I have a few series that I hope to finish this month. Finally the Cursebreakers finale is out!! And I need to read the rest of the Uglies series to remember what happens! I’m thinking to start the Heroes of Olympus series as well if I find the time. I think I’ve only read the first one. But now I’m on a Percy Jackson kick.

And I’m just hoping to stay fairly caught up on reviews and on Goodreads. More books = more reviews! It’s going to be another big month of reading and blogging!
What are you reading in February?
I just put Sounder on my Top Ten Tuesday list of books published the year I was born! I’m not sure if I would read it in February, but I’d like to read it sometime.
Stuart Little is a book my son enjoyed when we read it aloud.

How cool! Sounds like a type of list I need to create! That’s awesome. I would love to read Stuart Little to my kids soon. We just started Matilda this week 🙂

I agree that having a series helps with count number- January consisted of Chronicles and Narnia. Castle in the Air was another read.
I actually love one your January reads- I loved Percy Jackson in middle school

Nice! Always love Narnia. And yes! I hadn’t read Percy in years. It was fun to revisit!

I very much enjoyed the various Percy Jackson books! I haven’t read the most recent series yet, but I’ll get to it one day. I really like how Riordan had the characters (and the content) mature as the books went along it kept it from being static and stagnant.

I agree! I am feeling an itch to read more Riordan this year. Several series I started when there was only a book or two and now there’s a full series to enjoy!
