Happy November, my friends!
I hope you had a fantastic October. We sure loved the changing leaves on our street, cold nights with hot tea, and all things pumpkin. And I must admit that I am getting in the Christmas spirit a bit already. At least, I find myself humming Christmas songs and hope they have some on the radio soon. No tree yet and my pumpkins are still on my porch, but I am excited for this wonderful time of year!
October was a bit of a strange reading month for me. I went through phases of lots of reading then hardly any. Same thing with blogging. I managed 4 reviews this month which is definitely respectable. 3 of them came last week. Ha! We’ll see how well I get back into a more normal posting schedule this month.
In October, I finished 4 books.
I started A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens and am loving the audiobook I have. I am determined to finally finish this book that I’ve started at least 3 times in the past!

In November, I hope to finish the books I am currently reading.
I would like to finish one Newbery winner and start my next classic. Here are a few options towards the top of both lists.

I am reading and trying to finish the Elsie Dinsmore books (reading book 22) Also reading Thanksgiving books and Christmas ones too.

Not to tell you what to do ( 😉 ) but you HAVE to read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH! It’s one of my favorite children’s books of all time and it’s really an interesting story, I’d highly recommend it 🙂

I appreciate your recommendation, Kenzie! So far, I read the Newbery winners mostly based on recommendation. So I will move Mrs Frisby up the list! 🙂

I love the cover art on The Bootlace Magician. I’m always for a Brontë read, but honestly with winter approaching I’d say Crime and Punishment. For some reason, I really feel like the Russians should be read in winter—no real reason other than I associate most of their works with that season, even though most of them cover years and years and years.

And haha. I love that. I guess the Russians always have at least a few freezing cold sequences in their Siberian winters, right? I love Crime and Punishment–excited for my reread.
