Happy May, y’all!
This is a big month for our family as we make our big move across the country. Hoping to read and blog a little this month amidst the packing and unpacking. But trying to have more modest goals this month.
April was a great reading month for me!
I finished 6 books.
I reviewed 6 books.
The Shop on Peculiar Hill by Grimly Darkwood (eARC)
The Read Aloud Family by Sarah MacKenzie
Brunch at Bittersweet Cafe by Carla Laureano
Marilla of Green Gables by Sarah McCoy
The Gown by Jennifer Robson
A Year Down Yonder by Richard Peck
I shared 3 Book Lists.
5 Books to Read With Your Littlest Readers
5 Books to Read if You Love Circus Settings
6 Books I can Read Over and Over
I started two books in April as well.
May Goals
Trying to keep it realistic this busy May!
Mostly, I hope to finish these two books. And potentially start a few others.
If I finish North and South (which I am loving!), one of these two would be my next classic.
And if I manage to find more time, here’s a few titles on the top of my TBR.
What were your favorite reads in April?
What are you reading this month?
I JUST bought the Mysterious Benedict Society off Book Outlet! I hope to read it this summer. I hope you enjoy 🙂

Happy moving! I hope it goes well!
I requested the Read Aloud book from the library and have listened to some of the podcasts after your previous recommendation. Reading is such a huge part of my life and I want my kids to be exposed to reading great books.
We started reading Little House in The Big Woods out loud as part of our homeschool curriculum and that is our first “big” read aloud.

Thank you, Maria!!
That’s awesome! I hope you enjoy the book and are enjoying the podcasts now.
How fun to read Little House aloud to your kids. That’s so fun!

So glad to hear that!! It’s pretty high on my TBR. I picked it up at my library book sale last weekend on a whim. But I’ve heard good things!

I started the Problem of Pain (although I keep stopping and starting so I still consider it on my TBR list!). Which of the books that you read was your favorite? The cover to “Hello Universe” looks intriguing.

I want to read several of Lewis’ theological writings in publication order…so I’m trying to start with The Problem of Pain–but I haven’t felt motivated enough yet! haha.
I loved The Witch of Blackbird Pond! And loved my reread of The Night Circus! Read Aloud Family was really good too. haha—picking a favorite is obviously hard for me 😉

I mistakenly said “Letters To Charlotte” by Jane Austen. The name should have been Cassandra. I also read several Easter books. Sorry about the error.

I haven’t read any of Jane Austen’s letters yet–but I aspire to 🙂

My favorite book for April is “Letters To Charlotte” by Jane Austen. In May I am continuing with the 10 book series “Adventures of the Northwoods” by Lois Walfrid Johnson. It is Juvenile Mysteries fiction. Good luck with the move.
