6 Books I Can Read Over and Over

Hi y’all!

Welcome to my latest edition of my Saturday Book List series. I hope you’ve had a great Saturday. I managed to go to our local library book sale AND Half Price Books BY MYSELF! Shout out to my husband for the double treat today! Naturally, I was very successful at both places. I may have bought a full set of Narnia. And yes, I already own a full set at home. Bookworm delights, right? 😉

Today I am sharing a few of the books that I can read a hundred times and still love. I’ve read all of these multiple times and I think I love them more with each reread. If I had to pick a favorite book (hate that question though–it’s so hard!), these would definitely be contenders. Enjoy!

Harry Potter Series by J. K. Rowling // This is the series that started it all for me. So duh, it tops this list. The magic never fades. Love these books forever.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis // Another classic fantasy series that I adore! I absolutely loved my reread of the full series earlier this year. I’m not sure if it’s because I read the full series in publication order (so much better than chronological order!) or simply because Lewis is a master storyteller (one of the best!) but I find myself simply enthralled by these stories and can’t wait to read them with my kids when they are older!

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak // When pressed on what my favorite book is, I usually think of this one. I find this book fascinating, moving, and surprising. I still haven’t met a narrator quite like Death who narrates this story of Liesl and the power of words.

Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson // This remains at (or at least near) the top of my list of favorite historical romances. I love the story, the characters, and the fantastic happy ending. I may have read the end of this book even more than the beginning because it always puts me in a good mood!

Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery // One of the best children’s classics in literature. I adore Anne Shirley and her story. I’ve read this one at several different stages of my life and I always connect with it. One day, I hope to visit Prince Edward Island and experience Anne’s favorite haunts in the beautiful fall.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen // There are so many reasons this is such a popular classic and that everyone knows Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. I love this book for the gorgeous language and the beautiful story.

  8. There’s a lot of nostalgia for me in this post, as well! Many of these, I have been able to share with my niece as she gets older, and it has been wonderful to see her experience them, as well.
    For the last several years, I have been reading the Harry Potter books aloud when my husband and I go on road trips. It has been fun for both of us!
