Hi y’all and welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s theme is Books You’d Mash Together (pick two books you think would make an epic story if combined). It’s been a fun one to put together. Enjoy!
Fablehaven: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary by Brandon Mull & Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling // I love both these fantasy worlds so much! It would be neat to see these particular novels together as the have two of the craziest plot twists in literature. And they explore further parts of their respective fantasy worlds (so it could be plausible for them to stumble upon each other. Perhaps Voldemort hid a horcrux somewhere in Wyrmroost?)
The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall & The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis // These are both about lovable sets of siblings and their adventures. I wonder what adventures the Penderwicks would have in Narnia!?
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman & The BFG by Roald Dahl // Perhaps this one is a bit of a stretch. But if you took the clever wit of Gaiman and combined it with the imaginative humor of Dahl, you would have a fascinating book. Plus, I’d kind of like to see these two world collide.
Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson & Emma by Jane Austen // This would be one romantic, hilarious novel. The writing would be brilliant. The characters would be endearing and flawed. And everyone would get a beautiful happily ever after.
The Selection by Kiera Cass & Cinder by Marissa Meyer // Two brilliant YA dystopian novels. I love them both so much. I think it would be so fun to read a book that combines a great fairy tale retelling with a bachelor style contest.
Which book mash ups are you intrigued by?
These are all wonderful—great choices!

A funnier Gaiman book sounds great. Also Emma. I also did a mash up of Emma but with Jurassic Park 😆
Here’s my TTT post.

Woah! Emma mashed up with Jurassic Park would be crazy!! Why did you put those together?? I’m curious 🙂

I love Northanger Abbey with it’s funny parody of gothic books, but when I read Emma last year I was really annoyed at the heroine. I thought it would be fun if she were to try her match-making while faced with something supernatural or shocking. I was searching for a dragon book when my eyes fell upon a recent book “The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs” which I haven’t read yet, but I remembered how much I loved the Jurassic Park movie as a child, so I just connected its book 😀

The Selection and Cinder would be very interesting! Not something I would’ve thought of quickly. I haven’t read a few of these books, but I think I need to check a few out.

Fablehaven/ Harry Potter seems like a perfect match up. All the magical possiblities and creatures! I love that pick! The Penderwicks in Narnia sounds awesome too.

If I mashed two books together, don’t know if I could do that.
But I l was kind of intrigued by your Narnia one- when I read your description it makes sense why it would be an interesting mashup.

I would love a Book Mash Up between “Little Women” and “Anne of Green Gables”. Imagine these two strong willed ladies together. Think of the great novel they could write together, not to mention the adventures they could get into.
