Announcing…The Anne of Green Gables Read Along 2017!

Hello dear readers and friends!

I have to apologize for being totally MIA the last few weeks. First we had family in town and were exploring Dallas with them. And last week, we were able to move into a house! This is really exciting–a real backyard, garage, and tons of storage. We can now let the official countdown to baby begin!

Today I am so excited to announce the Anne of Green Gables Read Along 2017!

AGG 2017 (1)

I absolutely love Anne Shirley. But I must admit, I have read only about half the series before. So I decided to change that this year and read all 8 books in the series. And I would love you to join me!

How this works:

  1. Each month starting in May, we will read and review one book from the Anne series. See the chart below for more details. Not sure if you can read all 8? No worries! Join us for as many as you can!
  2. Post your reviews on your blog, website, youtube channel, etc AND link them to my monthly posts.
  3. Read and comment on other Anne lovers’ posts.

      1. I’ve posted and started! It’s such a wonderful book so far! I love the tone and the sarcasm, it seems as though I’ll love this readalong 🙂
I didn’t make a dedicated post cause I wasn’t sure what I’m supposed to write, but I mention and link to your readalong post here: http://avalinahsbooks.space/sunday-post-6/
So we all just post reviews when we’re done and share them through your blog? Or will there be a linkup? Just wondering how this will work and if I’m missing something, cause I’m excited to see everyone else’s posts too 🙂
I’m so glad you’ve nudged me to read this! Can’t believe I’m starting only now, I should have read this ages ago, only like ten pages in and it’s already so enjoyable 🙂

        1. Yay! I’m so glad you are enjoying it thus far! If you want, you can post an intro post just with info about the read along and your plan for participating. But I think your mention in that post is great too.

I’m going to try to do a link up monthly. Then I will have a link to it on my intro page: https://greenishbookshelf.com/anne-of-green-gables-read-along-2017/. So you can find it easily. My plan is to get that up this week for May. I’ve never made one so wish me luck! 🙂

This is my first hosting of a read along so thanks for being patient as I learn how it should work 🙂

  29. Jane – I thought that I responded to your comment from my comment on your post earlier, but I must have done something strange as I can’t find it now! Oops.

I was directed towards your Anne of Green Gables Read Along thanks to Amanda at Cover 2 Cover Mom. I am super excited to participate in this read along! I just started the book last night and I am completely in love with Anne so far. Expect my join-up post soon.

If you still need help hosting, feel free to reach out to me at jackieb at deathbytsundoku dot com. No pressure! ❤

  34. Love this idea Jane! I will definitely participate. I can’t commit to the entire series right now, but I will commit to this month at the very least. This is the perfect excuse to FINALLY read the first book. I will be reading it via audiobook and will start as soon as I finish my current audiobook. I will also post something on my blog about it as soon as I can announcing my participation. Thanks for putting this together 😊

  35. Hi! I haven’t read Anne of Green Gables in forever! It sounds kind of fun to revisit it. I’ll probably only get to two at the rate my life goes! Thanks! I’ll get a post up soon.
