Welcome back to another week of Top 10 Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! As always, I thank those lovely ladies for hosting and you lovely readers for checking out my post 🙂

This week’s topic is really fun: Ten Books I Feel Differently About After Time Has Passed (less love, more love, complicated feelings, indifference, thought it was great in a genre until you became more well read in that genre etc.)

I immediately thought of books that I read for school–either high school or college. And while it was hard to get excited about books I was forced to read for class, now I rave about a lot of them. The love has definitely grown with time. The late night reading and frustratingly huge assignments are over. So now I can just enjoy the memories of these books. Perhaps one day I will return to them and see if they are really as fantastic as I remember. So enjoy my top 10 books I read for school that I love more now!

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen // I seriously haven’t read this book since high school. But I have it on my Classics Club list. And I adore the 6 hour film adaptation. Positive this is as wonderful as I remember 🙂

Paradise Lost by John Milton // I read this for AP Literature in high school. And I remember being so surprised by how much I loved it! I really need to get back to it.

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky //I have raved about this one before. I read it in high school and in college. And I remember it being fantastic both times.

Fathers and Sons by Ivan Turgenev // This was my first exposure to Russian literature back in high school. And I am convinced that I loved this book. But I honestly don’t remember much about it. Obviously this deserves a reread!

The Heart of Midlothian by Sir Walter Scott // I read this for one of my graduate seminars and I remember being blown away by how much I enjoyed it. Its classic, huge Scott. But suddenly I have it in my head that I want to read more of his novels.

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens // This one is funny. I remember hating reading it as a high school freshman (perhaps, it was slightly out of my league at the time). But now I have convinced myself that it was a great read. Haha. Definitely deserves a reread one of these years! Also, fun fact, I saw the musical stage version of this novel several years ago, and it was awesome.

The Brothers Karamozov by Fyodor Dostovesky // Another Russian novel here. I remember loving the discussions we had about this book in my college class. But did I love the book in the moment? Hard to say.

Henry V by William Shakespeare // I had to do a big project on this play in a graduate seminar. And I just remember loving this play. I still rank it as one of my favorites of Shakespeare’s works. I should read more Shakespeare post-school.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald // I haven’t read this one since high school. But I feel like I loved it because doesn’t everyone? Definitely rereading this one as part of the Classics Club.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee // I read this novel first in high school. And I reread it last year and posted a review here. This novel is everything I remember it being and more.

What books do you love more now than when you were in school?
