Today is the final day of the fantastic Get Up Offa That Slump: Blogging Extravaganza hosted by Rachel @ Beauty and the Bookshelf. Thank you so much for the great extravaganza, Rachel!
Today’s prompt is… Why do you blog? What makes blogging worth it? Why do you love it?
I started this blog because I wanted to share my thoughts about the books I read. And that’s still a big part of why I blog. I enjoy sharing a piece of me with my readers and learning more about myself as a reader. This extravaganza has helped me see that I can go beyond reviews and weekly linkups. I can share my thoughts about literary tourist sites, why I love reading, favorite bookish habits and more. It’s fun to have an audience to share it all with!
I love getting to know fellow bloggers. It’s so fun to have a community where we all are bookworms and can appreciate our excitement, love, and obsession for books! Always great to find fellow nerds out here in the blogging world. I am constantly amazed at how big this book blogging community is. I love it!
You amazing bloggers have gotten me excited about all sorts of new books from the Lunar Chronicles to The Martian and plenty in between. I love reading your reviews and finding my next great read! Without blogging, I would miss out on a lot of amazing books (and friendships!).
Most of all, blogging keeps me excited about reading. Since I started blogging, I have read more and planned to read me (my TBR is huge!). I’m always figuring out what I will read next. And I’m reading a lot. Mygoals for reading have grown bigger and bigger. I am excited about tackling the biggest classics and the newest fantasy series because I get to blog about them.
That’s what makes me happiest and why I love blogging most–I love books and I love reading. 🙂
Why do you blog? Why do you love it?
Although I haven’t started reading many of them I have added quite a few books to my TBR pile that I wouldn’t have known about or cared about otherwise. So I agree with you there.
Also, I know I’m new around here, but I”m slowing coming into my own and making “friends.” I am thankful for this “event” b/c it has helped me with my blog and writing.

Lovely post, Jane! I’m definitely in agreement with you on all these! There are so many books I never would have discovered if it wasn’t for blogger friends. And it does help keep us excited which is just awesome! Thank you so much for sharing – I hope you’ve enjoyed the event as much as I have!
(Also I love the Frozen GIF)
